They knew each other in 5th grade, but soon forgot as they grew up.... High school was the turning point in both their lives....
One day, she received a friend request. She knew who he was, she accepted it. They started talking. They started talking more......
He used to come outside her class during lunch breaks and they walked around the school corridors, talking and laughing. They soon became the best of friends. They were always together, when they weren't in front of each other, they were always on call....
He used to call her a "topper" because she was always studying. She motivated him to study and made him more sincere. She helped him find out his goal in life. He was a guy who wasn't into telling stuff about himself to people. But she knew all about him. He only told her about his fears, goals, love and ambitions....
They used to fight a lot, not those serious fights, but those cute little healthy fights. He always used to say, "You're so ugly, I wonder who would marry you!"
It was their last year in high school. They needed nobody else. They were so complete with each other. They weren't in love, but it was just like that....
People in school soon started talking about their friendship, they started advising them about dating each other. But they both just ignored the fact saying, "I wouldn't date such an ugly ass!"
Everyone knew about them and started being jealous of the bond they shared. But as they say, Happiness and perfection is not permanent...
It was the last day of school, the farewell. Everyone was dressed up well. She thought that she looked ugly. She did not like her attire much. When she was sitting with her friends, he called her up and asked where she was....
Amongst the crowd, she started walking towards him. He was awestruck. For the very first time, they hugged and he said it in her ear, "YOU LOOK BEAUTIFUL." She was surprised, she always thought that he found her ugly....
That day, they were together, again. Danced together, had fun together. They promised to stay together forever. They made their future plans together. They promised that they'll never leave each other's sides. She was happy. He was super happy....
The very next day, she got a call. It was him. He told her that she looked beautiful yesterday and confessed to her that he loved her and wants them to be together as lovers, always....
She was shocked. She did not know how to react. She had never ever thought of him that way. She did not love him. He was just her best friend....
She cut the call and started thinking over. She did not want to hurt him. She thought of talking to him. But it was no use. They were no longer best friends like they always were. Whenever they talked, they had serious fights. One fine day, they stopped talking....
Years passed, she wanted her best friend back and he wanted his love back. Unfortunately, none of the wish was fulfilled. They met many people in their lives and moved on. But still had a special place for each other in their hearts....
